The basic maintenance book was written by Neil Manderson and Dave Wardell of Kilberry Bagpipes. It is a very straightforward 'Bagpipes for dummies' style booklet which takes the novice player through all the various steps of maintaining the bagpipe. Sections include: taking delivery of new bagpipes, drone and chanter reeds, tuning the drones, maintaining the bagpipe and troubleshooting. The
