Kilberry offers two choices of pipe chanter manufactured in our own workshop: plastic (polenco) or African blackwood.
The standard Kilberry pipe chanter is made from polypenco and has been modified over the years, resulting in a chanter that produces excellent volume with a good, balanced sound. This chanter can be played with most reeds on the market today. A blackwood pipe chanter is also available if preferred. This is more expensive as it is much more time consuming to produce. The Kilberry chanter is played by solo players and pipe bands throughout the world.
