Care & Maintenance

Many different items are used to look after and maintain a set of pipes in good working order. This ranges from hemp (yellow thread to keep the joints tight) to seasoning (substance poured into the bag to make it airtight).

We stock all of these items and they can either be bought separately, or in the form of a maintenance kit. Kilberry has also recently produced a new book entitled "Basic Maintenance of the Scottish Bagpipe". This is a must for any novice to the piping world.
